When I discovered there was such a thing as handmade cotton cold press watercolor paper I swooned. Remember, at my creative roots I'm a textile artist having sewn since my mother could set me at a sewing machine, up until my early thirties when Spirit Team had me choose between my psychic path or my textile arts path. So to come full circle and find that I could paint on textile? OMG. It was amazing. And what did I first decide to sketch and paint? The ultimate golden ratio nautilus in a swirl of rainbow colors. It was heaven experiencing the bright pigment soaking into the thick fibers. I hope you enjoy this as much as I loved making it.
